Chris takes the time to review and evaluate the ION K suppressor’s performance on both AR and AK platforms at different length barrels and on different operating methods.
You’ll find Chris tests the ION K on both short barreled AR and AK platforms, thru a 10.5″ LMT (piston) Defender rifle and 10″ AK74 (gas) rifle & longer barreled AR and AK platforms, through a 16″ PSA (gas) rifle and a 16″ AK74 (gas).
Chris goes on to say that shooting on both the AR and AK platforms with the ION K is much more enjoyable to shoot. Saying the pitch did get higher on the 16″ PSA rifle but otherwise going so far to say, he has found the suppressor he’ll forever leave attached to his 10.5″ LMT rifle with the ION K suppressor AND that ION K mounted to the 16″ AK74 provided the least amount of gas Chris has felt on the rifle to date.
Chris summarizes to say that at the IONK’s short overall size, the ION K provides a great tone, look, and smooth performance. “If you’re looking for a short can, built for heavy use, (the IONK) is definitely something to include in your suppressor evaluation!” as Chris says at the end of the video.
