The editors at Recoil for this article are the first to say that while the aim is for completely objective tests, there are also subjective tests mixed in which didn’t necessarily have a set standard for uniform evaluation. That being said, the Recoil group put the ION LT to the test on a 12.5″ barrel length 5.56 rifle with final submissions narrowed down to just eight total, including the ION LT.
