The U.S. Department of Defense Announces LMT as MRGG-A Contract Winner

Friday, August 22nd, 2025 the U.S. Department of Defense announced many contract winners for the Air Force, Army, Navy and other U.S. military branches including the U.S. Special Operations Command where our sister company, Lewis Machine & Tool Company (LMT®) Defense dba LMT Defense was awarded the medium range gas gun-assault (MRGG-A) contract.

What Are The LMT MRGG-A Contract Details

As outlined in the image above, the contract is a 10-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (H9240325DE003). The MRGG-A contract awarded to LMT by U.S. Special Operations Command (contracting activity U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida) has a maximum celling of $92,000,000.00 for medium range gas gun-assault (MRGG-A) weapon kits, including spare parts, accessories, new equipment training, and engineering change protocols.

The production and sourcing of these items will be done from our shared facility here in Eldridge, Iowa. The last day to order under the newly released 10-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (H9240325DE003) is August 14th, 2035.
